On February 26th for the JV/Varsity Girls Basketball games, we are partnering with the Van Buren Department of Health and Human Services to raise awareness for foster children. Entry for the game will be free, but we will be accepting donations for the VB DHHS to help foster children and recruitment efforts for more foster families in the county. Let's 'Raise Hope & Foster Dreams!'

Wednesday February 11, is the Spring 2026 School Count Day for the state of Michigan. Count Day is when all public schools in Michigan tally the number of students attending their schools.
School attendance is important every day, but attendance on Count Day determines school funding and state resources. Count information is critical to districts, because each student translates into state funding.
The count days and school funding are mandated through the State School Aid Act.
The count dates are first Wednesday in October and the second Wednesday in February. 6th Grade: Jose Zarco Gamino - Jose comes into class with a smile on his face and ready to learn. He works extremely hard on his lessons. Keep up the great work!

7th Grade: Jonathan Martinez - Jonathan is an amazing student who always does his best. He works hard and is someone his teachers can count on. His friends enjoy being around him because he is kind, loyal, and dependable.
