Fun fact: she and her best friend have been together for 49 years. Her personal motto is, “We can do no great things, only small things with great love.” Her favorite color is purple, and her fast-food favorite is Chick-fil-A. Hartford Huskies weekly athletic schedule for September 28–October 3. Events include boys soccer, volleyball, cross country, middle school football, and varsity football. Home events include Monday boys soccer and middle school volleyball, Tuesday middle school boys soccer, and Friday varsity football vs. Brandywine at 7 p.m. Away contests are scheduled throughout the week at Galesburg-Augusta, Bloomingdale, Paw Paw, Cassopolis, Lawrence, Bangor, Comstock, Fennville, and other locations.
HMS Students of the Week (9/25/26):
6th Grade: Leila Benavides - Leila has been a helper to both her fellow classmates and her teachers. She comes to class prepared and ready to learn. Keep up the great work!

7th Grade: Branson McGrew - Branson is a dedicated student who consistently puts forth his best effort in class. He is always willing to learn, participate, and give his best. He is also a pleasure to talk to and brings a positive attitude to the classroom.

8th Grade: Carter Moore - Carter is a true leader in the classroom, hallways, and outside of school. His positive disposition and eagerness to do his best will surely serve him well. He’s the type of kid who would run into a burning orphanage to save children, and his teachers are very proud of him!

Due to construction and for the safety of our students and drivers, we will be making temporary transportation adjustments beginning tomorrow, September 25, 2026, through October 30, 2026.

Routes 2 and 3 will be affected. Please refer to the attached map for the roads impacted by the construction.

If your home is located within the highlighted area, your new pickup location will be The Sportsman’s Club, located at the corner of CR 687 and 54th Avenue. Please park in the back lot by the building to ensure the bus has enough space to enter the lot.

Students who are affected by this change will receive direct notification. Pick up time in the morning will be 6:50 am and drop off time in the afternoon will be 3:10 pm.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our students and drivers safe.
