Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members, At Hartford Public Schools, the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. We are committed to providing a secure learning environment, and part of that commitment includes preparing for emergency situations in a proactive and effective manner. This morning we conducted a school-wide evacuation drill. This drill was a planned and supervised practice that allowed our students and staff to be familiar with emergency evacuation procedures and know how to respond calmly and safely in the event of a real emergency. We understand that drills may cause temporary concern or disruption, but they are a critical component of our emergency preparedness plan. Please be assured that all appropriate safety measures were in place and that the drill was conducted in a structured and sensitive manner. Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and secure environment for all students and staff.
Due to road closures, Bus Route 5 and 6 will be delayed in arrival.

Reminder: Tomorrow (Wednesday, October 15th) is a scheduled Half day for Hartford Public Schools. Redwood will be released at 11:30 am, and Middle School and High School will be released at 11:15am. Please ensure your child has proper transportation arrangements.

This afternoon at approximately 12:55 p.m. a Hartford Middle School student had an incident that required medical attention. Emergency responders and the school nurse were quickly on the scene and attended to the student. There was a brief hold in place for students and staff while paramedics attended to the student. We would like to thank our staff, Paramedics, SRO, and the emergency responders for their assistance. As always, our students/staff safety is our number one priority at Hartford Public Schools.
Bus Route 5 will now be running its scheduled afternoon route. We apologize for this inconvenience.
