Superintendent Blackmer and an interview committee has selected Holly Bruning as the new Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction effective July 1, 2025. Holly comes to us from Lawrence Public Schools where she has served as the MS/HS Principal for the past two years. Holly also has been a high school teacher for Kalamazoo Public Schools for ten years. She holds a bachelors, masters, and a specialist in educational leadership certification from Western Michigan University. Welcome Holly!

Madelyn Wilke has been selected as the new Kindergarten Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Madelyn has been student teaching and substitute teaching for the past two years. She graduated from Michigan State University with her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She is currently enrolled at Michigan State University working on her Master of Arts in Teaching and Curriculum. She is endorsed in both PK-3 and TESOL. Welcome Madelyn!

As staff checked the school grounds this morning, it was discovered that Redwood Elementary has no power. Due to this power outage, Hartford Public Schools will be closed today, Friday May 16. Graduation is still planned for tonight at 6pm, as the High School still has power. Mientras el personal revisaba las instalaciones de la escuela esta mañana, se descubrió que la Escuela Primaria Redwood no tiene electricidad. Debido a este corte de luz, las Escuelas Públicas de Hartford permanecerán cerradas hoy, viernes 16 de mayo. 2025 Hartford Huskies Rocket Football Camp. All Rocket Football players are invited to the Hartford Rocket Football Camp. Players will learn the fundamentals of the Offensive and Defensive Positions. An early registration fee of $40 is due by July 1st. After July 1st, a late registration of $50 will be taken the first day of camp. Players are asked to wear Hartford T-shirts, shorts, and football cleats. Participants will receive a camp T-shirt for participating and it will be delivered at camp. Camp Schedule Wednesday July 30th 6:30-8:00pm Thursday July 31st 6:30-8:00pm The team camp will be located at the Hartford Varsity Practice Field. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Morsaw at 269 599 2986 or email morsawj@hpsmi.org. Please fill out the backside and return to the football program.
