Mrs. Guzman and Ms. Cindy’s Pre-K class had a blast making homemade
applesauce this week using the apples we picked during our field trip
to Gull Meadow Farms! 🌳✨
From picking to peeling to stirring, our little chefs did it all — and
the classroom smelled amazing! 😋🍏
What a fun (and tasty!) way to tie learning into a hands-on fall activity.

Reminder, tomorrow, Friday October 3rd, is a scheduled Half Day for Hartford Public Schools. High School and Middle School will be released at 11:15am, and Redwood Elementary will be released at 11:30am. Please ensure your students have proper transportation.
The first night of Parent/Teacher Conferences is tonight from 4:30-7:30pm. The second night of Conferences will be Thursday, October 2nd from 4:30-7:30pm.

Tomorrow, October 1st, is Count Day! It is important that your students are in attendance. Count Day is an official day to count student attendance, which directly determines a school district's funding from the state.

Mrs. Sumners' second-grade class had a fantastic time reading Misunderstood Shark: Friends Don’t Eat Friends!
After the story, they dove into a fun “Shark Attack” game where students picked cards showing different behaviors. They had to decide if the behavior was friendly or not-so-friendly. It was a splashy way to talk about friendship and making kind choices — with plenty of giggles and sharky fun along the way!
